Day after day, year after year, dead skin settles in your bed providing the ideal breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, mold spores, fungi and especially dust mites
Bio film formation begins when trace amounts of micro-organisms attach to a surface. If not cleaned properly this builds up forming a layer of bacteria on the surface.
As the sun shines in the window you see little “things” floating in the streams of light. Many of these airborne particles are some of the most prolific allergy triggers in the home – the waste matter of dust mites, which are second only to pollen in causing allergic reactions. Some allergic reactions translate into asthma (which is on the rise among children), but studies show that avoiding allergens in early childhood can prevent the onset of asthma.
Our 4 step cleaning process is a great way to keep everyone in your home healthier by eliminating these allergens from your mattress.
This is the solution to body fluids, dust mites, allergens, bacteria and many other contaminants that are absorbed by mattresses on a nightly occurrence. With the use of various technologies such as UV light , Deep extraction & Anti-Microbial treatment we can sanitize and dry mattresses in a few hours.
Our Unique Clean Technology System Includes:
UV Micro utilizes a unique, one-of-a-kind process engineered and developed specifically for the purpose of sanitizing and cleaning mattresses.
There are 4 important steps to our mattress cleaning system, each targeting different ailments, but all working together toward the common goal of a cleaner sanitized mattress in your home.
Ultraviolet (UV) Light
There are three UV light wavelength categories: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The UV-C wavelength is the germicidal wavelength. UV-C utilizes short-wavelength ultraviolet radiation that is harmful to microorganisms. This light is effective in destroying nucleic acids and breaking apart germ DNA. With their DNA broken, they can’t function or reproduce and the organism dies. UV-C that causes this germicidal effect is rare on Earth as our atmosphere blocks it. Warmth and moisture on and within a mattress creates a micro habitat which allows bacteria to stay alive and reproduce. Multiple studies have concluded that UV-C light can effectively penetrate pathogen cells and disrupt the DNA which renders them unable to continue with vital functions. Ultraviolet C light has been used effectively to disinfect not only surfaces, but also air and water for decades.
Equally important, our UV-C light does not get hot, so while it is extremely effective at killing germs, it will not hurt your mattress.
The average household vacuum cleaner provides about 40CFM of suction while our vacuum system extracts at a rate over 10x the average vacuum. Our high-powered vacuum extracts the foreign particles that inevitably build up in your mattress over time. Removal of these contaminants provides significant reduction in triggers that lead to negative health implications for many allergy sufferers.
Mattress cleaning involves the wet extraction (cleaning solution with water) of both sides of your mattress. This process leaves your mattress free of dust mite eggs, larvae, excrement and of course the dust mites themselves. The extraction process also rids your mattress of dead skin, the primary food source of the dust mite and leaves your mattress in a much healthier state.
The result of the deep extraction process is a surface that is cleaned and deodorized. A thorough job of cleaning also means you won’t have to work as hard the next time around!
- combats dust mite infestations and protects against re-infestation
- coats allergens so they can be easily vacuumed
- helps create a low-allergen environment
- has a long-lasting effect for up to 6 months
*SCIENTIFIC FACT: Dust mites excrete microscopic faecal pellets that can become airborne and contain potent allergens known to trigger and possibly cause allergic disease such as Asthma, Eczema, Rhinitis etc.*
If you are suffering from any of these symptoms you may be reacting to dust mites. If you are not, then exposure to dust mite can cause allergic reactions to begin.
Mattress sanitizing, mattress cleaning and mattress stain removal. What is the difference?
Mattress Sanitizing involves the disinfection and extraction of foreign particles and contaminants from both sides of your mattress. This process is dry and leaves your mattress free of dust mite eggs, larvae, excrement and of course the dust mites themselves. The extraction process also rids your mattress of dead skin, the primary food source of the dust mite. The disinfection process eliminates 99% of environmental germs such as mold, viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mold spores and leaves your mattress in a much healthier state. Your mattress is treated with an anti allergen solution and an anti dust mite sanitizer which protects the mattress from re-infestation for up to 6 months. The process is virtually dry except for the treatments which will leave the exterior of your mattress slightly damp for 20-30 minutes.
Mattress Cleaning and stain removal is required for spills or odors and is only truly effective when used in conjunction with the sanitizing process. Mattress Cleaning is required for urine, sweat, blood and all other bodily secretions. Mattress Cleaning is a wet process where we use different products and techniques to remove the offending spills, stains or odors.
In almost all cases, cleaning a stained mattress is most effective within 72 hours (12 hours for blood). The stain removal products and techniques we use are most effective when the stain hasn’t had a chance to burn or bind to the fabric.
